As a graphic designer Michael developed visual presentations for television and print in the New York City area
for most of his adult life. Working with some of New York’s top photographers eventually led him
to his own photographic explorations. This developed into a fascination with light and depth as a visual metaphor
for spacial awareness. In turn this led to extensive applications for commercial use special effects and
graphic animation. The list of clients for whom he has developed image presentations includes the PGA TOUR,
CBS Sports, NBC Sports, Millimeter Magazine, Leonard Nimoy, Colleen Dewhurst, Jack Paar among others.
Michael’s current body of work builds on this history, but goes beyond the commercial sphere and
reinvestigates the more intimate and intuitive side of his visual explorations using the latest digital technologies.
